Constructing a Tangent to a Circle

Choose a point $S$. Using your protractor, draw a circle with $S$ as the center at the desired radius.

Choose a point $P$ on the circle boundary and draw a line through $S$ and $P$. Call the line $l$.

3.

Construct a normal to $l$ through the point $P$. Name the normal $t$. This is the tangent to the circle at the point $P$.
